Carlos Gil. Born in Almoradí (Alicante) in 1988. He studied Audiovisual Communication at the Complutense University of Madrid and later moved to Granada, where he specialised in Photography at the Escuela Arte.
In 2015 he began his career as a photojournalist in the media Granada Digital, and later began working as a contributor to the newspaper Granada Hoy. In 2020 he began his collaboration with the Getty Images agency as a freelance and also worked for the magazine Panenka, El País, La Liga, EntreFronteras, El Confidencial, El Español, and the AP agency, among others. He has been teaching camera and photography technique for 3 years at the Escuela Arte Granada.
Since 2023 he has lived in Cáceres where he is a contributor to El Periodico Extremadura.
His work has been published in international media such as The Times, WSJ, The Guardian, Daily Maveryck, The Atlantic, Marca, New York Review of Book among others.
